Eddie, your guide and driver, grew up in Belfast during the conflict, an honest and open individual , sometimes straight to the point, not known for sugar coating his words. It was a sectarian terrorist campaign, people suffered on all sides, as far as Eddie is concerned, their was no justification for any of it. Their are ways to sorting out your differences without resorting to murder. Eddie had a role in a previous life, which shaped his views , opinions and experiences.
He hopes that one day Northern Ireland can return to being a peaceful and prosperous place for all it's citizens.

You will not regret doing a political tour with Eddie, you will probably leave Belfast with a lot thinking to do, reflecting on what you witnessed.

Travellers will get to experience a tour of Belfast's troubled streets, which in some cases still carry the scars of a sectariàn conflict which plagued Belfast and Northern Ireland for decades. This will give travellers a visual and oral account of the dark days of Northern Ireland's past. Travellers will be driven around the two most affected districts of Belfast, the Shankill and Falls districts. Murals adorn the gable walls, depicting batlle scenes from hundreds of years ago to more recent times. Murals of terrorist organisations which were involved in the conflict are displayed on the many walls, but their are also numerous murals depicting the innocent victims who were killed or injured. Your guide and driver is a local Belfast man, born and bred, lived briefly in South Africa, also lived and worked in London and Glasgow. Eddie has a background which some travellers may find interesting given his previous life and his role. He is passionate, open, frank and honest. He has an interest in the political situation in Northern Ireland, and hopes that we will never return to the past. Informative, knowledgeable and down to earth, it will leave a lasting impression on travellers.
