Meru National Park is one of the best places in Kenya to see Rhinos in the wilderness. At last count, Rhino Sanctuary was home to 34 black and 70 white rhinos.
The Park is especially associated with Elsa the Lioness and the film Born Free, a 1966 Technicolor British drama film starring Virginia McKenna and Bill Travers as Joy and George Adamson, a real-life couple who raised Elsa, an orphaned lion cub, to adulthood. Meru National Park is the home of many other animals as well, including cheetah, hippo, zebra, giraffe, hartebeest, oryx, oribi, waterbuck, … and abundant birdlife.

    We will start with pickup in hotel/ airport in the morning as we head to Meru National Park. You will be able to enjoy great views of Mt Kenya region, with her fertile, Green vegetation. You are set to arrive at your camp in time for lunch and afternnon relaxation. After some time at rest embark on your first Safari Game drive at 4:30 pm allowing you to see the wonderful creatures that populates the park. Brilliant on a magnificent scale, the Meru and Kora sister parks feature luxuriant jungle, coursing rivers, verdant swamp. Visitors can see Grevy's zebras, elephants, Bohor reedbucks, hartebeests, pythons, puff adders, cobras, buffalos and more recorded species of birds. Return to the camp by evening for dinner and overnight.

    This is your full day with Nature. Enjoy your early morning breakfast and depart with packed lunch for full day tour. Meru National Park is famous for its lions.
