In the afternoon, start your guided exploration of Aswan’s treasures. Begin with a visit to the High Dam, an iconic modern engineering marvel built during President Gamal Abdel Nasser’s era in 1960 to protect Egypt from Nile flooding.
Continue by motorboat across the Nile to reach the Philae Temple, beautifully relocated on Agilkia Island. This temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, was constructed during the Greco-Roman period and is renowned for its harmonious blend of Egyptian and Roman architecture.
Return to your Dahabiya for a relaxing evening. Dinner is served on board, and the rest of the night is at leisure in Aswan.
Enjoy breakfast on board as the Dahabiya begins sailing toward Kom Ombo. Accompanied by your Egyptologist guide, disembark to visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, dramatically perched on the Nile's edge. This unique temple is dedicated to two deities—Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder—and features symmetrical twin sanctuaries.
Afterward, return to the Dahabiya to continue sailing. Have lunch on the sun deck as you watch traditional river life unfold along the fertile banks—scenes unchanged for centuries.
In the afternoon, you’ll stop in Edfu. Travel by traditional horse-drawn carriage to reach the Temple of Horus, one of Egypt’s best-preserved monuments, dating back to the Ptolemaic period. Its towering pylons, intricate carvings, and mythological inscriptions offer a powerful look into Egypt’s spiritual past. After your guided tour, return to the Dahabiya and unwind.
Wake up to breakfast as the Dahabiya reaches the enchanting city of Luxor. Disembark to begin your journey through the West Bank of Thebes, home to some of the most significant burial sites and temples of ancient Egypt. Christian Coptic Cairo: The first part of the tour takes you to Old Cairo, known as Christian Coptic Cairo, where you'll explore locations significant to the Holy Family's journey in Egypt. You will visit: Church of Abu-Sergah and St. Barbara: A place where the spiritual presence of the Holy Family is deeply felt. The Hanging Church: A historic Coptic Christian church that hangs over the ancient Babylon Fortress. Ben Ezra Synagogue: An old Jewish synagogue with a rich history.
Start with a visit to the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs from the New Kingdom were laid to rest in elaborately decorated tombs. Masjid Amr Ibn Elas Mosque: Built in 642 A.D. by the Muslim leader Amr Ibn Elas in the El Fustat area. El Sultan Hassan Mosque (Madrasa El Sultan Hassan): This massive Mamluk-era mosque and madrassa were founded by Sultan Hassan in 1356 A.D. It is located near The Citadel in Cairo. Al-Rifa'i Mosque: Located opposite the Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan, this mosque, dating from around 1361, was designed to complement the older structure. This comprehensive tour allows you to explore the cultural and religious heritage of Cairo, from its Christian Coptic roots to its Islamic architectural wonders.
Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, an architectural masterpiece built into limestone cliffs at Deir el-Bahari. Admire its unique colonnaded design, which honors one of Egypt’s most powerful queens.
Before returning, pause at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive seated statues of King Amenhotep III that have stood guard for over 3,000 years.
After your excursion, return to the cruise for lunch. The afternoon is yours to relax on board or explore at your own pace. Enjoy dinner on the Dahabiya and overnight in Luxor.
After breakfast, check out from your Dahabiya cruise at 08:00 AM. Begin your final guided tour on the East Bank of Luxor, starting with the majestic Karnak Temple Complex, the largest religious site ever constructed. Walk along the Sacred Way flanked by ram-headed sphinxes and marvel at towering obelisks, colossal statues, and intricately carved hieroglyphs.
Next, proceed to Luxor Temple, beautifully lit by natural sunlight. Originally constructed by Amenhotep III and expanded by Ramses II, it was once connected to Karnak via the Grand Avenue of Sphinxes.
