Your first stop will be at Medinat Habu, an important archaeological site situated near the base of the Theban Hills on the West Bank of the River Nile, opposite the modern city of Luxor, Egypt. Within the Habu Temple complex, you will have the opportunity to explore other temples, including the Temple of Amun, dating back to the 18th Dynasty, originally built by Queen Hatshepsut and Thutmose III. Continuing your day tour, you will visit Deir el-Medina, also known as the Valley of the Worker. This ancient Egyptian village was home to the artisans who worked on the tombs in the Valley of the Kings during the 18th to 20th dynasties of the New Kingdom period (approximately 1550–1080 BC). The remarkably well-preserved paintings within Deir el-Medina offer a vivid glimpse into the daily lives and activities of these ancient artisans.
Conclude your day tour with a visit to the Valley of the Queens, a historic burial site for the wives of Pharaohs in ancient times. Referred to as Ta-Set-Neferu in ancient times, this valley housed the tombs of not only the Queens of the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties (1550–1070 BCE) but also various princes and princesses, along with members of the nobility. The valley, located near the renowned Valley of the Kings on the west bank of the Nile across from Thebes (modern Luxor), was chosen for its isolation and proximity to the capital, making it an essential site for the mortuary rituals and offerings dedicated to the deceased nobility
