Meeting and pickup
We meet under the raincover that looks like a big mushroom - called Svampen in Swedish. The guide is wearing an orange name tag and an orange hat that says "Xperience Stockholm" and will be waiting for you there. Please arrive 5 to 10 mins ahead of the starting time.
We end the tour in front of the Nationalmuseum.

We will take you through the streets that host famous Swedish design, upholstery, and antique houses in the posh area of Östermalm. We will talk about all of the iconic names of Stockholm’s design district and tell you about their legacy and historical context. We will include Stureplan, Linnégatan, Nybrogatan, and Strandvägen on our route.

As one of Stockholm’s greatest food halls, Saluhall also serves as one of the most impressive architectural landmarks in the city center dating back to the 19th-century. We will go through the market so you get to experience the delicacies of typically-Swedish food.

At King’s garden, we explore the importance of green spaces in Stockholm’s urban landscape and we talk about some key features of Swedish architectural phases, from Gothic to Baroque to modern influences. Starting with the garden’s origins in the 15th-century, and going through its many re-inventions, we explore Stockholm past and present. We will also discuss the origin of Sweden’s iconic falu red paint.

Skeppsholmen (Pass by)
Undoubtedly one of the prettiest islands in the Stockholm city center, Skeppsholmen gives us a gorgeous view of the city’s Old Town and is home to important Swedish art museums like the National Museum, Moderna, and ArkDes. We will talk about art, culture, and architecture all the way through this last point.
