For anyone planning a trip to the Rijksmuseum or the Rembrandt House Museum (or any other museum for that matter) you will get the tools to better understand the famous works of art. This workshop is a unique experience that will increase your knowledge of how the great painters of the 17th century painted their masterpieces. You will also get an impression of daily life in the Golden Age of Amsterdam, from the origins of the stones and minerals, to the ships that brought them here, and the windmills that ground them up.

What to expect

During this interactive workshop you will experience the wonder of making your own hand made oil paints and you will get a chance to create your own mini masterpiece with them. All the while learning about the famous painter Rembrandt van Rijn and his techniques, using 14 natural pigments to create an endless color pallet.
