Modern Masterpieces (permanent exhibition) The museum's permanent exhibition shows icons of modern and contemporary art. International masterpieces by Basquiat, Chagall, Fontana, Haring, Klee, Klein, Klimt, Lichtenstein, Magritte, Matisse, Miró, Picasso, Warhol, and many others will amaze you! Experiment Expressionism: Schiele meets Nosferatu April 11 to August 31, 2025 This special exhibition combines masterpieces of German and Austrian Expressionism with the aesthetics of early silent film. In addition to significant works by Kirchner, Nolde, Pechstein, Schiele, and many more, film posters, stills, and film sequences from classics such as "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari," "Nosferatu," or "Metropolis" are presented. In this combination, the entire artistic spectrum of this era can be experienced.
