    Great Sphinx

The Great Sphinx is one of the most recognizable symbols of ancient Egypt and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The statue measures about 73 meters (240 feet) in length and stands approximately 20 meters (66 feet) tall. The Sphinx is carved out of a single ridge of limestone, and its features are believed to represent the Pharaoh's facial characteristics. While now mostly bare limestone, historical evidence suggests that the Sphinx was once painted in vibrant colors. Visit the Valley temple of King Khafre, this place where they do mummification and purification process, they preserve their big jars carrying pure oils used for purification, and they used the sacred pure oils to help the pharaohs to be reborn and join the afterlife.
