Discover Dresden’s historic Old Town and the sandstone scenery of Bastei on an approximately 9-hour day trip from Prague. Travel with an English-speaking guide in a comfortable, air-conditioned van, with no more than 8 guests. Choose a small-group or private tour.
We normally visit Dresden first: enjoy a guided Old Town walk (1 h 15 min), then free time for lunch, cafés, shopping or exploring (1 h 45 min). Continue to Bastei for sweeping views over the Elbe Valley and Saxon Switzerland National Park. Order and timings may vary.
Small-group tours include pickup in central Prague, at your accommodation or a nearby meeting point. Private tours offer door-to-door pickup anywhere in Prague. Meals and optional paid attractions are at your own expense.

Bohemia (Pass by)
Travel from Prague through the Bohemian countryside toward Dresden. Your guide introduces the region and the day’s plan. The order of visits may change with conditions.

Enjoy an approximately 1 h 15 min guided walk through Dresden’s historic Old Town, including the Frauenkirche, Zwinger Palace, Royal Palace and Semper Opera House. Then spend around 1 h 45 min at leisure for lunch, cafés, shopping or independent exploring. Meals and optional museum tickets are at your own expense. The streets include cobblestones. We normally visit Dresden before Bastei, but the order may change.

2Bastei Bridge
Explore the sandstone scenery and viewpoints of Saxon Switzerland National Park. At Bastei, the bridge and its classic viewpoint require stairs. Guests unable to use stairs will miss these, but can enjoy the accessible main viewpoint overlooking the Elbe Valley and nearby step-free paths.
