Your journey begins at Höfði House, the elegant waterfront residence where the 1986 Reykjavík Summit between President Reagan and Gorbachev helped shape the end of the Cold War. Your guide shares the stories, personalities, and architectural details behind this globally significant moment.
Then we continue along the bay to Sun Voyager, a bright steel artwork symbolizing adventure and discovery. Backed by Faxaflói Bay and Mount Esja, it’s one of the city’s most photographed landmarks, modern, poetic, and deeply Icelandic.
Next, we visit Harpa, Reykjavík’s striking geometric concert hall. Its glass façade mirrors the colours of sea and sky, while your guide reveals how this award-winning structure reshaped the city’s cultural waterfront.
Stroll to the serene pond of Tjörnin, surrounded by colourful homes and local birdlife, then step inside City Hall to view the impressive 3D topographical map of Iceland, an exceptional visual introduction to the country’s dramatic landscapes.
After we arrive at Hallgrímskirkja, the city’s most recognisable landmark, inspired by Iceland’s basalt lava columns. Learn about its architecture, cultural role, and history before exploring the grounds and admire the statue of Leifur Eiríksson standing proudly in front.
Here, enjoy a curated luxury food tasting, featuring a selection of Icelandic bites, tailored to traditional flavours, including vegan and vegetarian options as well.
