Your private guide collects you from your accommodation, and the aurora hunt begins, no fixed route, just expert navigation of cloud cover and forecasts to find the clearest, darkest skies.
As we leave Reykjavík behind, wide frozen fields, open horizons, and distant mountain silhouettes set the stage for the night. We make several carefully chosen viewing stops, each selected for ideal visibility, and your guide will help you capture the aurora on camera.
To keep you warm and comfortable throughout the evening, we provide hot chocolate, Icelandic treats, soft blankets, and a warm private vehicle, turning the wait into part of the experience.

There’s no fixed route, your guide follows cloud patterns, aurora forecasts, and weather changes in real time, choosing the clearest skies and most promising locations as the night unfolds. Within an hour, the city lights fade behind you, opening into frozen fields, wide plains, and silhouettes of distant mountains. You’ll make several viewing stops through the evening, each selected for ideal visibility and unobstructed northern skies. Your guide will help you capture the lights on camera.
