We begin with an easy downtown Reykjavík pickup before heading east to Iceland’s legendary South Coast for stunning scenery and unforgettable sights.
Skógafoss is a spectacular 60-meter waterfall that can be admired from below or from a viewing platform at the top, offering sweeping views of the south coast and nearby glaciers, with restrooms available on site.
Sólheimajökull is a striking glacier tongue from Mýrdalsjökull, where we walk through its rugged valley to the glacier edge, known for ash-striped ice shaped by nearby volcanic activity, with restrooms available.
Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach features dramatic basalt columns, sea stacks, and summer puffins, with time for sightseeing and lunch, plus restrooms and a café on site.
We make a short photo stop in Vík by the hilltop church for views of the village and basalt sea stacks, then arrive back in Reykjavík at around 6:00 PM, with stories of trolls and elves along the way.
Seljalandsfoss is a famous 65-meter waterfall fed by Eyjafjallajökull, where visitors can walk behind the cascade for a unique view, with restrooms, a food stall, and a gift shop on site.
