This is social journey beyond the Netflix version of Lima Street Food.
Authentic, immersive, and accessible. Far from the fine-dining world of Central or Maido.
We'll walk through streets and markets that may be crowded, chaotic, noisy, and even overwhelming, yet deeply authentic, in the non-touristy areas of Lima's historic center: Ramon Castilla Market, Mesa Redonda, Barrios Altos, and Chinatown.
We will try a wide variety of delicious Peruvian dishes including tasty bites, local markets, and hole-in-the-wall spots, all carefully selected by local food experts.
And you know what? You will directly support local vendors, learn about its history and culture while immersing yourself into the real Peru.
We are not just food-loving locals and licensed guides with years of experience. We are a team of cultural ambassadors and professional storytellers.
All Inclusive! Just show up! - Max 13
We will meet outside "Biblioteca Nacional Sede Lima", which is located in Abancay Avenue, Historical Centre of Lima. We will be wearing a pink/black outfit with the logo of Inka Pride.
Around Plaza San Martin - great place to take Uber or start our Historical City Tour or other ones.
We will visit the Central Market, see a lot of ingredients, give explanations, try lucuma juice, buy fruits, and eat around the market some local cuisine and explan its history.
We will visit China Town and try Siu Mae, and you will learn about chinese inmigration to Peru and it's gastronomical fusion on our culture.
