Get a real taste of Athens strolling around the central neighborhoods which are scattered with ruins and monuments. Athens is also a very walkable and modern city but when leaving the main roads and walkways you may find yourself in a maze of side streets.
There are plenty of reasons to travel to Athens but the best, and perhaps most important, is to try the incredible food. Food in Greece is so much a part of our culture. It literally is a culture of its own. And I am going to show you how locals eat, by way of my favorite eateries.
We will visit the Greek Gastronomy Museum, have traditional Greek coffee (made the old fashion way) and try an ancient sweet dating back to the original Olympic games just to name a few major stops on this scrumptious tour. Your taste buds will be jumping for joy. So please eat lightly before hand so you can take it all in.
Your guide will be waiting for you in front of the Starbucks cafe. We will send you a phone number after the booking is confirmed in case you need to contact her.
The tour ends in Minastiraki square where is the Flea Market if Athens, close to the Archaeological sites of the Ancient Agora, the Library of Hadrian, the Roman Forum and you will be 10 minutes walk from the Acropolis entrance in case you are planning a visit after your food tour.
