The scenically varied journey leads to us Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is home to over 600 Bird species, several species of monkeys, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos, lions and many others.
At the foot of the Rwenzori Mountains, the 2,000 km2 national park is home to over 600 species of birds, several species of monkeys, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, lions and leopards, which we can observe closely giving us a better impression than what we see on TV. In the afternoon you will take a wonderful boat trip on the Kazinga Canal, where you can discover more bird species. The interesting thing is that some of them are seasonal immigrants from other parts of the world. Enjoy watching hippos snorting and splashing in water, elephant families moving in different groups and usually in corresponding clans.
Today you drive southwest to Kibale Forest National Park in preparation for chimpanzee tracking the next morning.
On foot we roam a jungle with a Ranger in search of a family of chimpanzees living in the wild.
Today you will drive towards the northwest of Uganda with an experienced tour guide. On the way to the lodge, we hike to the foot of the waterfall. Here the mighty Nile falls with a loud roar through a narrow passage that is only about 7 m wide and about 40 m down the Central African Rift Valley and then we go to a private nature lodge reserved exclusively for us in the middle of the wilderness of the park.
In the morning after breakfast, the safari vehicle is already waiting and with an early game drive through hilly savannah landscape we go to the animals, where we will observe lions, leopards, hyenas, elephants and Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, etc. In the afternoon, we travel upriver towards Murchison Falls on a privately rented boat with an experienced captain. On the riverbank we observe hippos, crocodiles and many other animal and bird species. Boat trip approx. 3 hours / walking time 1 hour
Today is our last day, we leave in time for Kampala. At the end of the trip we drive towards Masindi, where we will have our last highlight (rhino trekking).
