Although the main museum is currently closed, you'll still have the opportunity to explore its impressive open court, home to the world’s first hanging obelisk, commissioned by King Ramses II. Continue your journey through the museum’s courtyard, where you’ll encounter the stunning Statue of Ramses II, carved from a single block of red granite. As you stroll through, admire the other colossal statues that line the courtyard, each showcasing Egypt’s artistic grandeur.
