As we get closer to Chichén Itzá, we’ll make a short stop at nearby points of interest before reaching the site. Upon arrival, we’ll exit the bus and walk toward the main entrance of this world-renowned archaeological zone. Our guides will lead the way, sharing useful information and directions throughout the walk—an enjoyable part of the experience that adds to the journey. Once inside, you’ll take part in a one-hour guided tour, where our knowledgeable guides will bring the history of the ancient Mayan city to life. Through engaging stories and insights, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of its culture, daily life, and the truths behind common myths. After the guided portion, you’ll have one hour of free time to explore independently. Use this time to take photos, visit local souvenir stands, or enjoy a snack or refreshing drink. Be sure to follow your guide’s instructions, as they will provide the exact meeting point and time to return to the bus.
As part of the experience, you’ll visit the renowned Suytun cenote—an authentic natural formation deeply connected to Mayan history and once considered a sacred gateway to the underworld. Located about 45 minutes away, this cenote is known for its striking beauty, crystal-clear waters, and refreshing temperature, making it one of the most unique natural spots in the Yucatán Peninsula. During the visit, you’ll have approximately one hour to enjoy the surroundings and take a swim. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit, as this is the perfect opportunity to cool off and immerse yourself in a setting that reflects the natural lifestyle once experienced by the ancient Maya.
Another highlight of the experience is a visit to the iconic Ik Kil cenote, a world-famous natural site known for its towering rock formations and the powerful sense of connection it creates with nature. During this stop, you’ll have approximately 45 minutes to swim and fully enjoy its unique atmosphere. Following the visit, you’ll head to a nearby restaurant where a buffet lunch awaits. Enjoy a wide selection of traditional regional dishes and authentic Mexican flavors, with the freedom to serve yourself as much as you like.
As a final stop in this journey through history, you’ll visit Valladolid, Yucatán—a charming colonial town celebrated for its cultural richness and tranquil atmosphere. With its colorful facades, traditional streets, and elegant architecture, it offers an authentic look into local life in the region. You’ll have between 30 and 45 minutes of free time to explore at your own pace. Take a walk through its scenic streets, capture memorable photos, and immerse yourself in the vibrant surroundings. This visit provides a perfect closing to the experience, blending history, culture, and the everyday essence of Yucatán.
