Shuri Castle, which flourished as the political and cultural center of the Ryukyu Kingdom, is one of Okinawa's most popular tourist attractions. It was severely damaged by fire in 019, but efforts are currently underway to restore it. The Shouden (main hall) of Shuri Castle is the symbol of Shuri Castle and the symbolic building of the Ryukyu Kingdom. It was a beautiful building characterized by vivid colors and elaborate decorations, blending Chinese-style architecture with unique Ryukyuan elements.
