Personal, flexible, local, and photography-focused. You’re not following a script — you’re exploring Iceland with someone who knows it like home.
After exiting through the security gate, turn right and follow the signs for “Tour Pick-Up.”
You’ll find us in the bus parking area — look for our guide/driver by a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter marked with the Unreal Iceland logo.
Thingvellir National Park is a true Icelandic treasure, rich in both history and geology. This is where Iceland’s parliament — the Althing — was established in 930 AD, making it one of the oldest parliamentary sites in the world. For centuries, until Danish rule, around 30 chieftains gathered here each year to set laws and settle disputes. Thingvellir also sits in a dramatic rift valley where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. This is why we say you can literally walk between continents at this unique location.
The Geysir geothermal area is one of Iceland’s most iconic natural wonders, a steaming landscape filled with bubbling hot springs, hissing vents, and colorful mineral deposits. The star attraction here is Strokkur, the world-famous geyser that erupts every few minutes, sending a column of hot water up to 20–30 meters (65–100 ft) into the air — an unforgettable display of geothermal power. This area is also home to Great Geysir, the original geyser that gave its name to all others around the world. Although Great Geysir is mostly dormant today, the surrounding geothermal field remains extremely active and full of life. During our visit, you’ll have time to explore the walking paths and enjoy the unique sights and geothermal aromas. You’ll also have the chance to grab lunch or a snack at the nearby restaurant and café before we continue our adventure.
Next, we make our way to Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls. Known for its sheer power and dramatic beauty, this “Golden Falls” thunders into a rugged canyon, creating misty rainbows on sunny days and a roaring spectacle year-round. It’s easy to see why Gullfoss tops so many lists of Iceland’s must-see natural wonders — it’s hypnotic, raw, and unforgettable. There is also a café and visitor center on site.
