Walking through the winding streets of Old Town, you will be walking through history. You’ll learn about the overall history of Prague and the Czech lands, and visit historical landmarks known worldwide, such as the Astronomical Clock, the Old Town Square, and the synagogues of the Jewish Quarter. Not only that, we can take a break at local bakery during the tour to try some traditional Czech pastries and get a taste of history as well!
Meet me in Mariánské náměstí (Marian Square) in front of Nová Radnice (the New City Hall), I will have a name badge with a green lanyard on
We will finish the tour near the Rudolfnium Concert Hall by the riverside, about five minutes walk from the tour's start
We will go through the Old Town Square to discuss the history of Prague and the Old Town specifically, as we're surrounded by many historic monuments and buildings there on the square, such as: the Gothic church of Tyn, the Jas Hus monument, the Marian Column, the Old Town Hall, and more!
We will watch the hourly performance of the oldest operating astronomical clock in the world, and I will even teach how to read the time using this beautiful medieval clock!
A historic 18th century theater where you will learn of Prague's connection to the famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
A gorgeous Gothic tower and the only remaining gate remaining of the historic walls of the Old Town of Prague
In the Jewish Quarter (called Josefov), I will share it's fascinating history while we see some of it's famous sights as we walk the streets, such as the sculpture of Franz Kafka, three synagogues (the Spanish, the Old New, and the Pinkas), Paris Street, and the Old Jewish Cemetery of Prague
