    Amboseli National Park

Amboseli National Park is classic East African savannah: open plains, acacia woodland, and seasonal marshes fed by underground rivers from Kilimanjaro. On this stop you’ll take unhurried game drives along established tracks, pausing for photos and wildlife viewing. Amboseli is famous for its large, relaxed elephant herds and wide, open vistas that make spotting plains game easier—zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, buffalo, and plentiful birdlife around the swamps. When conditions allow, you may ascend Observation Hill for sweeping views across the park and, weather permitting, the snow-tipped summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Expect regular stops at viewpoints and safe pull-outs, with time to watch animal behavior rather than rushing from sighting to sighting. Restrooms and picnic areas are available inside the park. Park rules require remaining in the vehicle except at designated sites, keeping a respectful distance from wildlife, and avoiding loud noise to ensure a safe, responsible experience.

    Amboseli National Park

The Amboseli Eco-system surrounds the national park and includes community lands and wildlife corridors where animals move between seasonal water sources. Here you’ll drive across open rangelands with Kilimanjaro as a backdrop, stopping at safe viewpoints to watch elephant, zebra, giraffe, and antelope dispersing from the swamps at different times of day. Expect slower speeds and plenty of photo stops—the wide panoramas are ideal for landscape shots and spotting raptors on acacia perches. Sightings vary seasonally and day-to-day, which is part of the appeal of this natural corridor. Please note that we respect community areas: no off-road driving, observe speed limits, and drones are not permitted. Short comfort stops are made at designated kiosks or gate areas when available.
