Your guided walking tour starts in the main square, where you’ll meet your local guide and begin exploring the city’s past. Highlights include the statue of St. Kliment, the lively boulevard, the 13th-century Church of St. Sofia, the ancient amphitheater, and other hidden gems.
The tour continues through the charming streets of the Old Town to the iconic Church of St. John at Kaneo, dramatically set on a cliff above Lake Ohrid. At the end of the tour, you may choose an optional boat ride to return by water. Throughout the tour, your guide shares engaging stories that bring Ohrid’s history to life for a truly memorable experience.

Kindly make your way to Hotel Millenium / Garden. In front of these hotels you will find the A. Den Doolaard statue. This will be our meeting point.
You can choose to go back by boat for an additional price of 200 denars (3.5 euro), or walk back with our guide.

3Church of Hagia Sophia
Visit the oldest church of Macedonia, where you can even find remaining's of the 1th age. This byzantine building is seen as one of the most important pieces of art and architecture from the middle ages. It symbolizes the byzantine culture in it's purest form. Furthermore, this is just 1 of 4 St. Sofija churches of the old world. They were meant to spread Christianity in the Southern Europe.

4Ancient Theatre of Ohrid
Go back into the antiquity by visiting this ancient remaining, which dates back to 200 years before Christ and relive the way of theater of the ancient Macedonians. This place functions as a perfect photo stop.

5Plaoshnik Archaeological park
Discover the undiscovered archeological site of Plaosnik. This beautiful land is covered with various ancient remaining's, such as mosaic, columns, walls and many more. The church located presents an astonishing view of Lake Ohrid. A perfect spot for a perfect picture.

6St. Jovan Kaneo
According to the Dutch writer, A. Den Doolaard in his book "The wedding of the 7 gypsies", this romantic spot is crowned as the place where heaven and earth meet each other. This is not for nothing. Nowadays, a lot of young Macedonian couples ask their vows to each other at this place. Also this is the first picture you'll see when typing Ohrid on the internet. This picturesque small middle aged church is located on a pointy cliff next to the azure Lake Ohrid and functions as another perfect spot for the perfect picture.
