    Nairobi - Tsavo East National Park

    This morning we pick up clients from their hotel or airport, conduct a short tour briefing and then depart from Nairobi at 7.00 am and we drive towards Tsavo East National Park. The Park is a vast expansion of African savanna with a more diverse array of habitats which include open plains, semi desert scrub, woodland, Chyulu Hills and rock outcrops. Tsavo East is one of the oldest and largest national parks in Kenya. It’s separated from Tsavo West by a highway. It’s famous for the Red Elephants, the infamous ‘man-eaters of Tsavo’- two lions that killed many workers several years ago, Oryx, and Gerenuk among other mammal’s species and bird life. Other notable features include Mzima Springs which are water source for Mombasa Town, Shetani Lava Flow and Ash cones, which is an example of recent volcanic eruption.

    Arguably the largest national park in Kenya with hundreds of elephant herds, giraffes, rhinos. Antelopes, leopards, cheetahs and the most famous “man-eater lions of the Tsavo”, this park will be the best way to wind up game drives, bird-watching, trekking etc.

    After breakfast, start the morning game drive in the Tsavo east National Park, the game drive is scheduled for this day. The extensive diverse habitats offer ideal area to search for pride of Lions, Buffaloes, Cheetahs, Giraffe, Zebras, Hippos and Wildebeests. Mzima Spring, underground water seepage from Chyulu hills is a good place to watch the Hippos. There is also a wealth and diversity of birds’ species.

    Today you will start with an early morning game drive that will be followed by breakfast. You will then depart with game drive en-route to Amboseli National Park. Located at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the park has many animals and the fact that it is a plain makes sighting of animals much easier. On a clear day, you will be able to see the tallest mountain in Africa, The Mt. Kilimanjaro

    After breakfast, enjoy a further game drive where plains game including large herds of elephants, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe and various antelopes can be seen. You will later have lunch and leisure break in the park. Then our day will end with an evening game drive, looking out for the peak of Kilimanjaro which may be seen in clear weather from the Observation Hill. Large herds of elephants and hippos can be seen bathing in swampy grounds whose water source is Mt. Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is also home to hundreds of species of birds including ostriches, pelicans, goose etc
