Taste Austrian Wines in Historic Cellar w/ Wine Judge & Vigneron

1 hour 30 minutes (approximately)
Offered in: English

Where else in the world can you taste and learn about wine in a 600-year-old cellar with a professional wine judge and a wine grower?

On this tour you will become knowledgeable about the local Austrian varieties and know enough to blindly determine the difference between them, like a professional wine judge.

Your host is Darrel Joseph who specialized in the wine sector for more than 30 years as an international wine judge, journalist and lecturer, providing expertise to some of the world’s most important wine competitions and publications. In this specially curated tasting experience, he will guide you through Austria’s key wine regions, grape varieties, and styles - featuring wines from historic family wineries as well as boutique start-ups.

Your co-host, Chris Sciacca, is the later. After spending 25 years in the technology industry, Chris exchanged his suit for overalls and started a small, organic winery in 2022. He will share some details on viticulture.
