Begin at Bow Falls, where the Bow River tumbles over wide rocky ledges beneath the surrounding mountains. Take a short walk to the viewing area, capture photographs and hear how the river has helped shape Banff’s landscape.

2Hoodoo's Viewpoint
Follow a short path to views over the Bow Valley and Banff’s distinctive hoodoo formations. Your guide explains how erosion shaped these rock pillars, helping you understand the landscape beyond the photograph.

3Two Jack Lake
Stop at a viewpoint overlooking Two Jack Lake, framed by forest and mountain peaks. This brief visit gives you time to take photographs and appreciate the lake’s setting before continuing to Lake Minnewanka.

4Lake Minnewanka
Spend approximately 45 minutes beside Lake Minnewanka, with time for a short lakeshore stroll and photographs. Your guide uses interpretive wildlife props to explain the animals of the Canadian Rockies, their habitats and how they adapt to the changing seasons.

5Mount Norquay Lookout
Head above town to Mount Norquay Lookout for sweeping views of Banff, the Bow Valley and the surrounding peaks. From here, you can see how the town sits within the mountain landscape, with time for photographs and questions.

6Vermilion Lakes
Finish at Vermilion Lakes, where wetlands and open water provide a classic view of Mount Rundle. Take time for photographs and enjoy the changing mountain light. We aim for golden hour when seasonal timing allows, although lighting and reflections depend on conditions.

- The tour begins with pickups in Canmore, followed by pickups in Banff approximately 30 minutes later. You will receive your pickup details after booking, so please be sure to review this message carefully to help you prepare.
