Our in character guide takes you back in time to the outbreak of World War Two, we use period photos and videos, comparing them to the modern day city, so you can see what Reykjavik was like as the British invaded and the Americans followed. How it changed our entire culture, from the food we ate to the music we listened to.

    We follow in the footsteps of the British invasion of Iceland, using period photos and videos to take us back in time to it. Despite the serious subject this tour is lighthearted and also looks at the social and cultural effects of World War 2 in Iceland. Subjects we talk about include; - US Military Presence - The Arctic Convoys - Changes in diet - Young Icelanders learning to dance to Rock and Roll
