    EK BALAM The city of Ek Balam dates back over a thousand years and was one of the main capitals of the Mayan world. Founded by a character named Ek Balam, hence its name around 300 B.C. Its main ruler, Ukit Kan Lek Tok, gave it its splendor by commissioning buildings with murals and facades with impressive details that still endure today, such as those of his tomb in the main building. Enjoy the magnificent view from the top of its main building and live a unique experience.
