Disembark at Strandvägen: Arrive back from your boat trip to Viggsö and 'Syrran & Jag' restaurant.

Public Transport: • Take the Metro (Red or Green line) to Slussen station. • Exit at Södermalmstorg. • If the Katarina Elevator is on your right, walk across the Ryssgården square. Cross Slussbrogatan at the zebra crossing in front of you. The meeting point is at the Södermalmstorg escalators/down steps. • If the Katarina Elevator is on your left, turn left and walk around the metro building. Cross Slussbrogatan at the zebra crossing. The meeting point is at the Södermalmstorg escalators/down steps. The Katarina Elevator. In 1965 Benny’s group HEPSTARS (pre-ABBA) filmed a scene on top of the Katarina elevator. Perhaps they at the time were influenced by the Beatles having been filmed on roof tops in London
Järntorget (Iron Square) A historical gem in Stockholm’s Old Town. 1974, Photo session at Järntorget well. They were all posing as it’s a jamming session.
VÄSTERLÅNGGATAN, ABBA was seen in this street on several occasions in the 1970s.
BAGGENSGATAN 21, Frida and Benny moved here in late 1974. The apartment occupied the two top floors of the building.
Stortorget (The Big Square), Stockholm’s historic oldest square, from here the city grow. ABBA’s most famous photograph was taken in this square in 1976. In 1987 Agnetha was filmed riding her bike across the square for a music video. Also in 2009 Björn introduced the CNN program My City My Life from here.
The Royal Palace and its surroundings became a familiar venue for ABBA. Also, later for Frida and Björn in particular.
Skeppsbron, just down hill from the Royal Palace was in 1999 the venue for ABBA’s PA and good friend Görel Hanser’s 50th birthday party. All four members of ABBA attended the party.
The Royal Swedish Opera also became a familiar venue for ABBA. Later Frida and Björn in particular.
Operakällaren (The Opera Cellar) Founded in 1787, well known Michelin rated restaurant. This restaurant has been the venue for award ceremonies in the 1970s and later. ABBA was the recipient of awards in 1976 and 1993.
S:t Jacobs Church, Stickan Anderson’s funeral took place at S:t Jacobs church on 10 October 1997.
Hamburger Börs (Restaurant and shows) A popular meeting place at the very centre of Stockholm for over 250 years.
Grand Hotel has been the venue for countless ABBA activities since the 1970’s.

Strand Hotel (Radisson Collection Strand Hotel) was in December 1970 the venue for the ABBA members performing their ill-fated cabaret act of songs and comedy sketches in their first incarnation as FESTFOLKET (The Party People). 1978 ABBA’s SUMMER NIGHT CITY video were filmed close to the hotel.
The China Theatre, a private theatre located in Berzeli Park at Nybroplan.
Polar Music Offices, on 9th November 1981 Polar moved into their new offices at Hamngatan 11 at the by then infamous Normalmstorg.
Castle Hotel, the back cover of a ABBA album was taken in the reception area of the former Castel Hotel on Riddargatan 14, behind the Royal Dramatic Theatre.
Strandvägen/Kajplats 17 - Depart for Viggsö and the mythical ABBA song writing cottage. Boat pick-up: Boat crew provides overalls/wind jackets, life wests and googles. All items are provided on the docks by the boat crew. Passengers are assisted to change into suitable boat clothing. Notable life west fitted last. Crew will assist passengers to board. Lose items (bags; hats, etc) is stewed away in safe hatches onboard. Captain will hold a short safety briefing as the journey start.

ABBA surely have passed by Vaxholm on their journey to and from their mythical song writing cottage on Viggsö. It’s plausible that they have stopped at Vaxholm to stock up on food and other necessities and to refuel their boat(s) on the way to or from Viggsö.
Stegesundet: Is a narrow passage between the islands of Stegesund – Hästholmen and Skarpö. Clearly, ABBA has passed through here many times on their journey to and from their mythical song writing cottage on Viggsö or further afield travels by sea.
