What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Pick up and drop off is included in your hotel in Abisko, Björkliden or Riksgränsen. Your guide will contact you and ask you about your hotel where he will pick you up.
We will meet in the lobby of Abisko mountain lodge, when you arrive your guide will be waiting for you there. If you need a pick up from your hotel or house let us know where it is and we will pick you up 15 minutes before the tour
What to expect
We will start the tour in Abisko, where we will have a delicious dinner in a local restaurant (included). During this 4 to 6-hour expedition (depending on aurora activity and weather), we will travel in a 4×4 van through icy landscapes, far from light pollution, to locations known only to locals (up to 300 km), where the chances of witnessing and capturing the northern lights are the best.
While we await the auroras and gaze at the night sky, you’ll enjoy a basic astronomy lesson. Your professional guide and photographer have a deep knowledge of meteorology and astronomical science, he will provide valuable insights for capturing the perfect aurora photograph, from camera settings to composition.
If you are not into photography, just enjoy the show and bring home the best memories because the photos of the tour are included.
