What to expect

The gorge is available near the village of Patsos, one of the most villages of Amari, located in the central region of Rethymnon. We will begin our adventure by diving into the mystical depths of the cave of Agios Antonios, a hidden treasure adorned with stunning stalactites and stalagmites. As we navigate through this geological wonder, we are immersed in the rich history and intrigue of the region.
Our next stop will be at the River Dam, also known as the River of Rivers. The Dam, is a hidden paradise on our horizon. In our region, we offer not only majestic but also a rich variety of natural beauty and wildlife.
Our next stop is at the Arkadi Monastery. The Arkadi Monastery stands as a symbol of Cretan resilience and sacrifice. In 1866, during the Cretan Revolution, the monastery played a pivotal role when its defenders chose to face an explosive end rather than submit to
Ottoman forces. The echo of their bravery is interwoven into the very fabric of Arkadi itself.
