During the 80km (50-mile) journey toward the glacier, you will admire the Patagonian landscape from the very beginning: Lake Argentino with its Redonda Bay, streams, forests, snow-capped mountains, and low mountain ranges. A bilingual guide will accompany you throughout the entire trip, providing necessary and interesting information to help you enjoy the journey and learn about the history. Before reaching Los Glaciares National Park, you will make a stop for the first panoramic views. Travelers must pay the ticket at the gate, where the route leading to the walkways begins. The exploration of the walkways is self-guided until the designated meeting time, providing enough time to walk at your own pace and take photos from the various viewing platforms. The Main Balcony: Featuring the best views of the glacier walls, it is located very close to the entrance. The Lower Balcony: This is the closest point to the glacier front and is located 400 meters (about 0.25 miles) from the start.
