Experience the ultimate day GPS Audio E-Bike Tour of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park designed for explorers who crave freedom and flexibility. Guided tours are not permitted on the park’s bike trails, so our self-guided GPS Audio Tour lets you ride at your own pace on all allowed routes.
Bike less than a mile from secure parking at our Volcano Shop to the park’s trailhead and follow the crater rim, moving from viewpoint to viewpoint. See the erupting Halemaʻumaʻu Crater with possible lava fountains over 1,000 feet high, ride through native ferns, visit steam vents, enjoy lunch at Volcano House, walk a lava tube, and reach the best lava viewing areas.
Our GPS audio guide adds expert commentary on geology, Hawaiian culture, and ecology, creating a unique e-bike adventure free from crowds, parking delays, or fixed schedules. This tour puts you in control of a memorable volcano exploration.

PICKUP TIME: 9:30AM [Afternoon times available upon request — if enough riders ask, we’ll add a special afternoon time just for you}. Pickup your bike at our headquarters located in Volcano Village behind the Lava Rock Cafe in the rear parking lot. We have secure parking and restrooms.

1Hawaii Volcanoes National Park
Take a self-guided GPS audio E-Bike tour through Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Pick up your e-bike at 9:30 AM for the morning or 12:30 PM for the afternoon tour (afternoon requires 4 riders minimum). Ride less than a mile to the park’s bike trail entrance, then bike along the rim of the erupting crater on scenic, less-traveled trails closed to most guided tours. Enjoy total freedom to explore at your own pace—pause, linger, or take detours anytime to create your perfect adventure. Glide through a native Hawaiian fern rainforest, feel volcanic heat at steam vents, and savor lunch overlooking the crater at Volcano House. Walk through an ancient lava tube and bike paved trails to the lava viewing area, where you may see active lava fountains over 1,000 feet tall. Our GPS audio guide shares expert insights, fascinating stories, and detailed geological history. Take a short 15-minute loop hike through lush native rainforest to Nahuku Crater, a 500-year-old pit crater filled with towering native Hawaiian Hapu'u Ferns and other unique flora. As you enter the crater, enjoy the first of two immersive GPS audio lectures that share insights about this vibrant ecosystem. Along the shaded path, learn about endemic plants and the cultural significance of the area before arriving at the famous Thurston Lava Tube. The Kīlauea Visitor Center is your gateway to understanding the dynamic volcanic environment of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The center features engaging exhibits that explain the geological forces shaping the island, native wildlife, and the rich cultural heritage tied to the volcano goddess Pele. Interactive displays, historical artifacts, and detailed maps provide a deeper appreciation of the ever-changing landscape. Friendly park rangers are available to answer questions, provide safety updates, and offer advice on explore options within the park.
