Start your journey with a warm, freshly baked Bretzel, featuring a perfectly golden-brown, crisp exterior and a soft, chewy interior. This comforting first bite sets the tone for the experience, offering a simple yet irresistible taste that locals and visitors alike love.
Viennese sausage stands were officially added to UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2024, recognizing their unique role in the city’s culinary and social culture. Open late, loved by locals, and woven into everyday life, these iconic stands are more than just a place to grab a bite, they’re a true Viennese institution. Tasting a classic sausage here is therefore a must-try experience on any trip to Vienna, offering an authentic flavor of the city’s traditions and daily rhythms.
Enjoy the cozy atmosphere of a traditional Austrian tavern while tasting two of its most iconic dishes. Savor the perfectly breaded Wiener Schnitzel, golden and crisp, alongside a hearty bowl of Goulash, a spicy Eastern European soup rich in flavor and tradition. Together, these classics offer a comforting and authentic taste of Austria’s culinary heritage.
We will end our tour on a sweet note with one of the most famous dishes of the rich Austrian dessert tradition: Kaiserschmarrn. This dessert looks like a “scrambled” light pancake, and it has a noble history! For the dinner tour, the Kaiserchmarrn may not always be available, but in that case you will have ample choice between all the delicious typical cakes.
