Meet at the entrance then enjoy learning about the rich history as you take in one of the largest and most notable maritime collections in the world. Expect to see paintings, models of ships, navigational instruments, maps of the world showing famous voyages and more. The museum has multimedia and interactive games to keep kids entertained, as well as a section dedicated to how we have viewed whales through the centuries, The Tale of the Whale.
On the East Indiaman Amsterdam ship parked at the jetty, a replica of the famous ship that got lost on its first voyage in 1749 you can explore it up close and visit the Dutch Golden Age on a Virtual Reality journey.
