The excursion begins early in the morning towards the Península Valdés Protected Natural Area. After an hour of travel, you will arrive at Puerto Pirámides, where you will embark for traditional regular whale watching between the months of June and December or sea lions and coastal birds between the months of January and March.

The excursion will continue visiting the Punta Pirámides Seal Farm where you will be able to see the reproductive colony of one-hair sea lions along with the panoramic views from the viewpoints of the place.

Then you will depart for Punta Cantor to observe the external coast of the peninsula, the incredible geographical feature that is Caleta Valdés, and of course you will retrace the different trails to be able to observe the colony of elephant seals and interpret the geological formations of the coast.

Important information: The whale watching season is from June - December. The rest of the year, the observation cruise is closed.

    Peninsula Valdes

    Is not only Puerto Madryn that is the main touristic center at patagonic coast. Península Valdés also is. Early in the morning we'll alocate at Puerto Pirámides, located only one hour outside Puerto Madryn city. The route until the national park is full of beautiful and exuberant landscapes. Arriving to the national park we are going to do a ride through all the península extention. We will get at Punta Delgada by noon, were we will enjoy a lunch (not included) at Complejo El Faro. At El Faro you will have the opportunity to go among the cliffs and walk between seals and sea lions. (El Faro closes after Easter until 31 August). When El Faro is closed, the lunch is at Pyramid Cove (without access to El Faro prívate beach). As the trip goes on, we will go until Punta Canor to see te peninsula outside coast and arrive at Punta Cantor (also known as the Valdes entrance) Here we will see imponents geologic formations before coming back to Istmo Ameghino. At Sunset we will arrive to Puerto Madryn.
