Departure Point: Tour departs from the Coronel FAP Francisco Secada Vignetta (Iquitos) International Airport
Reception and welcome at the airport or hotel in the city of Iquitos. Transfer to Nauta and boarding on our private boats on the Marañon River. Visit to the Fundo Casual (depending on season) a tropical forest run by local residents, where we will see different species of wildlife. Transfer to the ecolodge. Arrival at the ecolodge and welcome by a member of the Kukama Kukamiria ethnic group. Accommodation in cabins or bungalows. Conversation on myths and legends of the Amazon. Night tour of the forest surrounding the ecolodge.
Interpretation walk through the forest surrounding the ecolodge (restinga forest) following the route of the primates. Departure to Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, Nauta Caño area GUARANTEED watching of pink and gray dolphins. Navigation through the Jungle of Mirrors. Tour of flood forests. Sighting of the varied flora and fauna of the area.
Boat tour of the Marañón River towards Cocha Shiriyacu Artisanal fishing Visit to the San Jorge Community to interact with its members and understand their way of life and ancestral customs Visit to the Center for Kukama Women Crafts (Pua Kamatawara) Project developed by Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge.
