During the morning, you will be transferred to the Inca Bridge in Ollantaytambo, an ancient Inca building from which the original pillars still stand. As you ascend, appreciate a panoramic view of the urban centre that has been continuously inhabited since the Inca Empire. Continue the trek to the Cacchicata quarry, a place dedicated to the carving and extraction of stones which were utilised to build Ollantaytambo and other surrounding structures. Observe the tired stones; huge stones that were left on the road that show the magnitude of the constructions that ancient civilisations accomplished. On the way, you can choose to take a one-hour hike to IntiPunku or Sun Gate, an imposing stone door on the top of a mountain from where you have an impossing view of Veronica Mountain. Enjoy a box lunch in the quarry and finally, return to your hotel.

Cachicata or Inca Quarry was used by the pre Inca and Inca civilizations to build the various complexes, such as the one in Ollantaytambo. The Cachicata quarries are located 14 km from Ollantaytambo; This road was built by the Incas and used for hundreds of years to access local communities and transport goods.
Inti Punku or Sun gate is a small Inca construction, on top of a 3,900-meter hill. At the top and during the hike, you will enjoy views of the Urubamba River, the Ollantaytambo archaeological site, and breathtaking views of Veronica Mountain.
