Witness the transformation of Medellin Comuna 13, previously one of the most dangerous neighbourhoods in Medellin, is now safe to explore. This transformation is thanks to the government’s promise to improve the neighbourhood and the community’s commitment to sharing this unique part of Medellin with visitors. Ride multiple elevators installed on the side of a mountain to help people move through the community easier. The walls of Comuna 13 are adorned with bright graffiti and your local guide will explain the meaning and symbolism behind some of the works of art.

Enjoy the countryside and learn about the flowers cultivation process The small town of Santa Elena is located just east of Medellin in the mountainside. The weather is normally cooler due to its elevation and its soils are rich with nutrients which helps local farmers to grow a great variety of flowers. Santa Elena is also the birthplace of the ornate flower arrangements called silletas that are the cornerstone of the Flower Festival or Feria de Las Flores in Medellin.
