  La Villita Historic Arts Village

  Walk through La Villita, one of San Antonio’s oldest neighborhoods, where the city’s early civilian story took shape after 1718. Pass the Arneson River Theatre and continue along the River Walk toward Marriage Island, the site connected to the first Catholic Mass in the San Antonio area in 1691. Along the way, Victor shares the story of the Canary Islanders and the monument that honors their role in establishing the first civilian settlement.
