On the first day of our 3-day safari, we will drive from Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park, a journey of approximately 5-6 hours. Along the way, we'll stop in Masindi for a lunch break, where you can enjoy a meal and stretch your legs. After lunch, we will continue our drive to Murchison Falls for an afternoon game drive, arriving at our lodge in the early evening.
The day will start with an early morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. Early morning drives are ideal for spotting wildlife as animals are more active and the temperatures are cooler. You can expect to see a variety of animals, including lions,hyenas,giraffes, buffaloes, and possibly leopards. The fresh morning light also enhances the experience, offering great opportunities for photography. After the game drive, we will return to the lodge for a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, we will embark on a boat cruise along the Nile River. This scenic cruise provides stunning views of the famous Murchison Falls from the river and allows you to observe a range of wildlife along the banks, such as hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species. The calm waters and beautiful surroundings offer a relaxing end to an exciting day of wildlife viewing.
On the final day, we'll begin by driving to the top of Murchison Falls to witness the breathtaking view of the Nile River as it forces its way through a narrow gorge. This viewpoint provides a unique and dramatic perspective of the powerful waterfall. After exploring the falls, we will drive out of the park and stop in Masindi for a lunch break and then continue on our journey back to Entebbe. En route, you have the option to visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a walk with the rhinos, offering an opportunity to see these magnificent creatures up close and learn about their conservation. We should be able to arrive in Entebbe in the early evening.
