Your private super jeep picks you up directly from your Reykjavík accommodation at the agreed time - one address for the whole group. No transfer, no assembly point. Pickup time will be confirmed 24 hours in advance.

Heidmork Nature Reserve (Pass by)
There is no fixed route and no sightseeing stops. Your guide follows cloud cover and aurora forecasts through the evening and drives wherever the chance of seeing the lights is highest, using the Defender's capability to leave busy roadside pull-offs behind where conditions allow. Hot chocolate and bottled water are served while you watch, and your guide helps with camera settings.

Reykjavik (Pass by)
Your private super jeep drops you back directly at your Reykjavík accommodation. The tour lasts 4 hours, so the return is approximately 4 hours after departure. Door to door, start to finish.

- Access to rough tracks and off-road viewpoints depends on weather and surface conditions; your guide decides what is safe on the night.
- The ride can be bumpy on rough sections - part of the fun, but worth knowing in advance.
- Aurora sightings cannot be guaranteed. Our team monitors cloud cover and aurora forecasts closely; if there is no realistic chance of a sighting, we cancel no later than 2 hours before departure.
- If we cancel, you choose: a retry at the nearest available date and time, or a full refund.
- If the tour runs and no lights are seen, you get a free retry at the nearest available date, subject to availability.
- A retry may run with a different vehicle and may be a small-group tour - this is normal, even after a super jeep booking.
- Even a faint but visible aurora counts as a sighting. To the naked eye the lights are often softer and paler than in photos online, which usually have raised saturation.
- The route is chosen by your guide on the night; guests do not set the route.
- Season: late August to mid-April.
- Easy walking on uneven natural terrain in the dark and a firm ride on rough tracks. Not recommended for guests with serious mobility limitations or back problems.
- The tour is not wheelchair accessible.
- Children of all ages are welcome - please note the late return time. Child seats available on request; state each child's age at booking.
- Parents or guardians are responsible for the safety of children throughout the tour.
- Meals are not included - we recommend eating before departure. Hot chocolate and bottled water are served on board.
