Soak up local culture at the impressive Khorfakkan Amphitheatre. Inspired by Roman architecture, it has rapidly become a celebrated local landmark. The newly-built amphitheater covers over 1700m2 and can accommodate over 3500 spectators. It was designed with a state-of-the-art cooling system, making it the ideal out-door venue for upcoming events

Al Suhub Rest Area
A unique way to explore Khorfakkan’s mountains, Cloud lounge is a recently built mountain-side rest stop that lies 600 meters above sea level, offering panoramic views across Khorfakkan.

Situated strategically on the Sharjah-Kalba Road, Al Hefaiyah Lake spans 132,000 square metres and holds 155 million gallons, serving as a vital water reservoir. The lake is 4 metres deep. Its construction incorporates cutting-edge technology, including innovative materials suited for the hilly climate. Visitors to Al Hefaiyah Lake are greeted by a 3.17-kilometre dual-lane road encircling the lake. The road, encircling the lake is ideal for a stroll or a scenic drive, while the large play area covering 620 square metres, allows children to enjoy playtime in the outdoors. Nature and adventure enthusiasts can hike the hiking trails, stretching over 11.7 kilometres, offering various paths of differing lengths and difficulty levels. Nestled at the centre of the compound, the exquisite Al Hefaiyah Mosque stands out, boasting intricate geometric and floral themes and a towering 36-metre-tall minaret

Kalba is a beautiful coastal destination on the east coast of Sharjah, hosting a number of landmark attractions. The area is highly regarded for its natural landscape and environmental biodiversity. The Khor Kalba Mangrove Centre is one of the most recent ecotourism projects in Kalba, reflecting the area’s rich ecological terrain. Due to its unique location in the middle of an ancient stand of mangroves, visitors taking the outdoor tour have an opportunity to see the oldest mangrove forest in the Emirates, with trees up to 8 meters tall

One of Sharjah’s newest destinations offers large tracts of green spaces with flowers adorning the terraces, and waterfalls. The total area of the garden spans 1.6 million square feet, reaching a height of 281 metres above sea level. The centrepiece of Kalba Hanging Gardens is the artificial waterfall which cascades down several levels in to a small lake, calming, cooling and serene. At night the waterfall is lit up. The stunning restaurant, in the garden, which can seat 215 people is of a classic semi-circular architectural design and provides views of the gardens and waterfall.

Mleiha National Park
Start with a guided tour of the Umm an-Nar tomb, a circular Bronze Era grave, where you can delve into the history of ancient Bedouin civilisation much before modern Emirati culture. Then move onto Fossil Rock, a huge rock formation filled with marine fossils. There are also several opportunities for adventure in the area with trekking, hiking, dune bashing, quad bike riding or even paragliding from the highest peaks in Mleiha. Go on a desert safari and ask about the best spots to set up a desert camp. The centre can offer advice, especially if you’re looking for a “glamping” experience. Visitors love to spend a night under the stars in Mleiha surrounded by picturesque sand dune formations.
