A visit to Memphis and Saqqara offers a captivating journey through ancient Egyptian history. In Memphis, you’ll explore the Colossal Statue of Ramses II, an impressive 11-meter-high statue, and the Alabaster Sphinx, a beautifully carved monument. The Mit Rahina Museum houses various artifacts, statues, and inscriptions that provide insights into the ancient capital’s significance. In Saqqara, the highlight is the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the world’s oldest complete stone building complex, designed by the architect Imhotep. You’ll also discover the Mastaba Tombs of high officials, adorned with intricate carvings and paintings, and the Pyramid of Unas, famous for the Pyramid Texts, the oldest known religious texts. The Serapeum features underground galleries where the sacred Apis bulls were buried in massive granite sarcophagi. 2Pyramids of Giza
A visit to the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx is an exciting adventure into the wonders of ancient Egypt! The Great Pyramid of Khufu is the largest and oldest, towering at an impressive 147 meters. It held the title of the tallest man-made structure for over 3,800 years! Then there's the Pyramid of Khafre, which is a bit smaller but looks taller because of its elevated spot. It still has some of its original casing stones, adding to its charm. Don’t forget the Pyramid of Menkaure, the smallest one, which is interesting for its small pyramids built for queens. The Great Sphinx is truly spectacular! With the body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh, it likely represents Pharaoh Khafre. It stretches 73 meters long and stands 20 meters high, all carved from a single piece of limestone. It symbolizes strength and wisdom in a captivating way. Our friendly and knowledgeable guides are here to share fascinating stories about the history and significance.
