The current city gate is the fifth city gate Valletta has had in around 450 years, the first gate starting in April 1566. In front of it, we will gladly admire Triton's fountain, the first element that comes to our attention before entering the city gates.

2St. John's Co-Cathedral
Caravaggio's footprint in Malta (With ticket included): Built in the 1570s as the church for the Knights of St John, this magnificent cathedral is Malta’s most visited church and features Caravaggio’s Beheading of St John.

3Grand Master's Palace
The first building to be constructed by the Knights of St John in the new capital city and enlarged over the years, this Palace is the Office of the President of Malta.

The oldest cloister of nuns in Malta. The Benedictine nuns came to Malta in the early 15th century and the church and monastery were established when Giacomo Valguarnera was Bishop of Malta.

The 13th-century palazzo was the home of Captain Olof Frederick Gollcher (1889-1962). Olof was an artist, soldier, collector and philanthropist.

11Mdina Metropolitan Cathedral Museum
The baroque style building is evidently a dominant structure within the old city of Mdina. The Cathedral is the metaphoric mother of all Maltese churches, and it is also the seat of the Maltese Archbishop.

13St Paul's Catacombs
