What to expect

We will be seated around a table for 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on how fast things go with the process. We will begin with a demonstration of the skills involved, and then you will have a chance to do it yourself.

You will be guided step-by-step through the batik tote bag creation process:

1. Design Tracing – Choose your preferred design and carefully trace it onto your tote bag fabric
2. Wax Application (Canting) – Learn how to use a traditional canting tool to apply hot wax and outline your design
3. Coloring – Add vibrant colors to your tote bag, bringing your personal artwork to life
4. Lorod Process (Wax Removal) – Experience the satisfying final step as the wax is removed, revealing your finished batik tote bag
