We will explore the Upper Barrakka Gardens, where we will have the opportunity to enjoy the panoramic view of the Grand Harbour and learn more about this important historic point of Malta.
We will also immerse ourselves in history by passing the Co Cathedral of Sāo Joāo, one of Malta’s architectural jewels, as we continue our tour through the charming streets of Valletta.
During the journey, we will visit St. George’s Square, where we will take a historic dive, exploring the various stages that shaped the history of Malta
Appreciating the fusion between ancient architecture and modernity, we will also visit the Manoel Theatre, one of the oldest theaters in Europe, inaugurated in 1731. With its Baroque design, the theatre is a true cultural jewel of Malta, famous for its richly decorated interior and its impeccable acoustics, being an important center for the performing arts on the island
Visit the Is-Suq Tal-Belt, also known as Valletta Food Market. Built in the 19th century, the market was originally a vibrant shopping center for the sale of fresh products. After a major restoration, it was transformed into a modern gastronomic market, where visitors can enjoy a wide range of local and international dishes while preserving its historic architecture and original charm
We will follow our route to the Lower Barakka Gardens, a charming green area that offers spectacular views of the Grand Harbour. Take a break to dive even further into Malta’s rich history, exploring the monuments and historical landmarks surrounding this quiet garden
We will finish our tour in Fort St. Elmo, a historic fortress that played a crucial role during the Great Siege of 1565, when the Knights of Malta resisted the Ottoman attack. Strategically located at the entrance of the Grand Harbour, the fort is now a military museum that offers a fascinating view of Malta’s military history. The surrounding region is also rich in culture and offers beautiful sea views, being a perfect endpoint for our journey.
