Our journey begins as we depart from the cruise terminal, heading towards Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a place of immense historical and geological significance. Here, you'll walk between the tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia, witnessing the dramatic rift valley and learning about Iceland's ancient parliament, Alþingi.
Next, we venture to Oxarafoss waterfall, nestled within Thingvellir. This picturesque waterfall cascades down from the river Öxará, offering stunning photo opportunities and a moment of tranquil beauty amidst the rugged landscape.
Our adventure continues to the geothermal area of Geysir, home to the famous Strokkur geyser. Prepare to be amazed as Strokkur erupts every few minutes, sending a powerful jet of boiling water high into the air. Explore the surrounding hot springs and bubbling mud pools, a testament to Iceland's volcanic activity.
Finally, we arrive at the majestic Gullfoss waterfall, one of Iceland's most iconic natural attractions. Witness the Hvítá river plunge down two dramatic tiers into a deep canyon, creating a breathtaking spectacle of power and beauty. The sheer force of the water and the surrounding landscape will leave you in awe.
