Meeting point

Kostantinou Palaiologou is the main street running north and south in the city of Sparta. The meeting place is a minutes walk before the statue of King Leonidas and Ancient Sparta, in the most northern part of Sparta.

What to expect

Each participant will learn essential mosaic skills to complete a mosaic with stone approximately 20 x 20 cm the "direct method" will be used when applying your tessarae. Available designs inspired by Greek/Roman patterns will be provided. You will learn to use tools, materials, adhesives and colouring tints the history of mosaics and everything about this ancient art form will be discussed throughout the workshop. The workshops are conducted outdoors in a tranquil studio garden setting amongst flowers and orange trees located at 132 Konstantinou Palaiologou Street in the heart of the City of Sparta, Laconia. The workshop runs from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
