After meeting your guide, take a trip around the island in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle, visiting various communities and points of interest along the way. Your knowledgeable guide will share interesting facts and stories about the island's enthralling history and culture. There are many overlooks and panoramic views that will take your breath away

After the island tour, travel to West End Beach, where you can board a public/shared snorkel barge or boat but only if you purchased the snorkel option part of the tour. Otherwise the stop is beach access ONLY, where you can experience world class snorkeling from the beach. A guide will show you the best snorkeling spots, assisting you with anything you need in the water. The waters of Roatan are home to many types of coral, starfish, sea turtles, sea squid, and numerous species of fish and other marine life. Tour includes public beach access only and you will return to port once the tour is complete.

We offer pick up from any local hotel/resort and vacation rental or cruise port. Travelers are also able to meet the catamaran at the marina located in Dixon Cove. We can provide maps/locationMeeting Location/Transport Information & Meeting Time:

There are two Cruise Centers in Roatan. The directions for both locations are listed below. Please depart your ship one hour upon arrival to port and proceed to the designated meeting area listed below to check in with your representative.

MAHOGANY BAY CRUISE TERMINAL & DIXON'S COVE PORT:

Exit the ship and walk up the main path into the shopping area.

Continue past the fountains, through the shopping area, to the building with a red roof on the right.

Enter that building and walk to the end where the white taxi's park.

Make a left and walk up the hill.

You will see a LARGE GREEN gate. Go through the gate and down the hill.

Your Detour Roatan Guide will be on the right with a Detour Roatan sign and your name & information.

The Guide will check you in and take you to your shuttle.

TOWN CENTER/PORT OF ROATAN & COXEN HOLE CRUISE TERMINAL:

Exit the Ship and walk in to the main shopping area.

Look for the EXCURSION KIOSK NUMBER 2 where tours & excursions are sold. This is the South Shore Adventures and Detour Roatan tour kiosk.

Ask for our manager Cindy Fisher and staff for check in and boarding to your designated shuttles.

    West Bay Beach

    Experience first-hand the stunning aquatic beauty of the Mesoamerica Barrier Reef in the pristine waters off Roatan. The reef system of Roatan is literally bursting with marine life. Roughly 80 percent the marine life found in the Caribbean can be found in the waters surrounding Roatan. With our fun-filled snorkeling tour, you’ll be treated to underwater sights that can’t be seen anywhere else.
