Welcome to Juri—a peaceful village surrounded by tea gardens, forested hills, tribal culture, and natural beauty. At our family-run homestay, Bangladesh’s first government-recognized community-based homestay, you’ll be embraced like one of our own. Stay with our 11-member Hindu family and experience the warmth of true Bengali hospitality. Savor home-cooked meals (veg/non-veg/vegan) and join our kitchen for a hands-on cooking session. Walk through the village, meet locals, and visit the market. Ride a traditional van to explore the real beauty of rural Bangladesh and witness the way of life that defines our community. Cool off with a swim in our private pond—safety gear provided. End your day with cultural storytelling and a family dinner.

Begin your day exploring the nearby tea gardens, walking through lush green estates and observing the tea‑picking process up close. Meet the workers, hear their daily struggles and stories, and visit their simple villages to understand the culture behind Sylhet’s tea heritage. Continue into the vibrant Manipuri community, known for colorful handwoven textiles, graceful dances and rich food traditions. Then visit the Khasi village, one of the world’s oldest matrilineal societies, where you’ll discover their forest‑based lifestyle, sustainable practices and unique cultural values. Begin our day at Madhabkunda Eco Park, home to one of Bangladesh’s largest natural waterfalls. Walk through peaceful forest trails, listen to birds and enjoy the fresh greenery as we enter the park. From here, we continue toward the beautiful Patharia Hills, known for their scenic views and gentle hiking routes. With the help of local community guides who live in the hills, we follow a safe and enjoyable trail through tea gardens, forest paths and open hill landscapes. During the hike, we stop for a simple, freshly prepared community lunch, giving you a chance to connect with the people who call these hills home. The trail leads us back to Madhabkunda Waterfall, where you can take a refreshing dip or swim in the natural pool surrounded by cliffs and forest — a perfect ending to a peaceful nature day.

Located near Juri, Hakaluki Haor is one of Asia’s largest and most biodiverse marsh wetlands, offering a peaceful retreat into nature’s untouched beauty.
